A track and (field) hockey turf for a sporting treasure

Look beyond its pristine beaches and premier golf courses and Belek, in Antalya, Turkey, will continue to surprise and delight. Nestled amongst 11 hectares of natural landscape surrounded by the Taurus Mountains and Mediterranean Sea, sits a sporting treasure. The Gloria Sports Arena is a state-of-the-art facility that caters for a variety of sports from athletics to volleyball; from grassroots sport to elite athletes and teams. The arena, which sports indoor, outdoor and aquatic facilities has a total of 50 courts and pitches, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, a fitness complex, sports science and medical facility and a sports hotel for up to 2,500 guests.
Turkey’s premier sports training and events complex
Its idyllic, warm weather setting and world-class facilities make it a great place for athletes to train, recover and focus on their goals. It hosts numerous national and international teams, clubs and individual athletes who visit for pre-season camps, tournaments and intensive training programs. Since its completion, it has provided a sporting mecca for 30,000 athletes.

Rekortan M World Athletics Class 2 track
The facility provides expert coaching, sport science support and advanced training equipment to enhance athlete performance. Polytan was chosen to add to the top-class facilities with a 400m Rekortan M World Athletics Class 2 track. The track system is the most certified in the world and was extended to a warm up area, downhill track and 100m indoor sprint track. Uniquely, the hotel sits at one end of the track, with a terrace overlooking the track and hotel rooms with track views.
A transformational haven for athletes
Polytan was also trusted with installing a Poligras (field) hockey turf at the arena, making it one of our biggest projects in the region. As Thomas Knapmeier, Polytan’s lead on the extraordinary installation, explains:
